Background:
- Pradeep Ray is a Member of the Academic
staff in the School of Information Systems Technology and Management,
University of New South Wales, Australia. He has a Ph.D in Computing
Sciences from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Australia
, Masters in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering
from BHU-IT, Banaras, India. He has more than ten years' experience
in technical and management positions in International Information
Technology Organisations. As an active member of the Institute
of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) , he has been involved
in organising a number of international conferences. Pradeep Ray
has been elected the Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on
Enterprise Networking ( EntNet ) for 2002-2004. As the Technical
Program Chair (TPC) of this TC for 2000-2002, Pradeep was a part
of the team that launched the flagship IEEE/IEC international
event called EntNet@SUPERCOMM since 2001. He has been involved
in Collaborative Research with reputed International Research
and Industrial Organisations, such as LORIA France, Munich Network
Management Team Germany, SSGRR Italy, Netstar Australia, Aprisma
Labs USA, and Westmead Children's Hospital, Australia. Pradeep
Ray, listed as Marquis Who's Who of the World for 1999, has published
more than fifty articles in international refereed journals and
conferences. He has more than five years' experience in course
development and teaching courses in Information Technology at
postgraduate and under-graduate levels in Australian Universities.
